Frequently Asked Questions

What age group is TalePop designed for?
TalePop is designed for ages 5-10 and includes safety filters and curated illustrations. Still, because story text is AI-generated, no automated system is perfect, so children should use TalePop with a parent or guardian.
What about the illustrations?
Illustrations are not generated randomly "on the fly" - every image a child sees is manually curated and edited by a graphic designer.
Can a child "generate" an adult topic on their own?
No. There's an input filter in place using one of the most trusted and high-quality models.
What child data do you ask for?
We do not ask for children's personal data and, of course, we do not save it. Please don't enter phone numbers/addresses/last names in the idea (anyway, the filter won't let it through).
Where are stories saved and who can see them?
Stories are saved in your account library. Outsiders don't have access.
Can I delete a story?
Yes, you can delete a story from the library. Select the story you want to delete from the list. Tap the delete button in the bottom-right corner of the story card.
How do I delete my account?
Right now this is done manually. Email us at [email protected] (or via the contact form in the app) and we'll delete your account along with all created prompts and stories.
What's the best device to use?
TalePop is currently in beta. A computer or tablet works best. On a phone, it may feel inconvenient for now (but it's still possible).
Do I need the Internet?
Yes, it's a web app. Generation happens on the server and is delivered over the Internet.
What if it takes a long time to load or gets stuck?
Simply refresh your browser (using the browser's standard refresh button).
Can I show/publish these stories?
Yes.
